Balyasny聘请高盛石油分析师Callum Bruce担任策略师
Balyasny Asset Management Appoints Former Goldman Sachs Commodities Expert Callum Bruce
Balyasny Asset Management, a leading global investment firm specializing in commodities and alternative assets, has announced a significant addition to its team with the appointment of Callum Bruce as its new Head of Commodities Strategy. Bruce brings over two decades of experience from Goldman Sachs, where he has been closely tracking and analyzing the oil markets since 2016.
Bruce’s move to Balyasny follows a series of strategic hires from Goldman Sachs, reflecting the firm’s commitment to expanding its commodities capabilities. Damien Courvalin, Balyasny’s Chief Commodities Strategist, and Dan Deighton, Co-Head of Commodities, both joined from Goldman Sachs in 2022. Since their arrival, Balyasny has significantly expanded its commodities business, including the establishment of a Physical Natural Gas and Power Trading Desk last year.

Bruce’s role at Balyasny will involve developing and implementing commodities strategy, leveraging his deep expertise in oil markets to support the firm’s growing client base. He will report directly to Courvalin, who expressed enthusiasm about Bruce’s capabilities and the potential impact on Balyasny’s commodities business.
While Balyasny’s spokesperson declined to comment on the hiring, industry sources have highlighted the importance of Bruce’s addition in enhancing the firm’s market intelligence and strategy formulation. This move aligns with Balyasny’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the commodities sector, a trend that has seen increasing demand from clients seeking diversified investment opportunities.
